Here is a clear, round, mold blown, flintglass hair bottle standing just a hair over 3 inches tall (no pun intended).  It is embossed vertically J.H. THOMPSON'S POMADE OPTIME.  It has a slightly flared flat lip and solid bar pontil scar on the base.  There is a thin chip off the top lip.  This bottle was most likely made in France possibly for an American agent.  I'm not sure where J.H. Thompson was from but it doesn't sound like the typical French name of the mid-19th century.
