    Description

    This City of Philadelphia Loan Certificate, which was originally authorized in 1856, was issued in January of 1863 to Mary Ann Earp for the sum of ,000 at 6 % interest tax free.  It measures approximately 9 ½” x 15” and contains the original Revenue Stamp. Several punch outs at the bottom of the certificate and some minor marginal loss, it is over all in very good condition. Excellent engraved vignettes.
