Size: Approx. 8" x 11" (21 cm x 28 cm)
Condition: Good
This new Bridgestone 175 makes most 25Occ
motorcycles obsolete and overpriced.
Here’s a new 175cc twin from Bridge-
stone that thinks it’s a 250! What’s more,
it acts like it, too! The new Bridgestone
175 offers you two exclusive new de-
sign features never before seen on any
motorcycle: two rotary valves (one for
each cylinder), two carburetors, plus a
revolutionary 4-speed transmission that
changes to a 5-speed (overdrive for high-
speed highway cruising) with the flip of
a lever.
Full-pressure oil injection
Bridgestone’s new, full-time injection
lubrication system uses a positive dis-
placement, piston-type pump (not a
vibrating diaphragm) driven off the
crankshaft, so it lubricates even when
the clutch is in {another exclusive
Bridgestone feature). What’s more, it
automatically meters the oil to match
engine speed.
Loaded with features
Even if the new 175 didn't top every-
thing in its class in performance and
specs, dozens of regular Bridgestone
design and operating features make it
worth a 250’s price ... or maybe more!
Like an all-welded frame of tubular steel,
beefy enough for a much larger engine
. . . oversized brakes (dual-cam type up
front) . . . adjustable tension steering
. . . battery ignition, plus an all-new
crankshaft-driven a-c generator.
Smoothest ride going
High-speed performance usually means
a rough, harsh ride. Not so on
the Bridgestone 175 Dual-Twin. Two-
cycle design means fewer moving parts
. . . far less vibration. (Above 60 mph,
the high vibration level of some four-
cycle engines is actually numbing!)
What’s more, extra-big, oil-dampened
shocks smooth out road bumps before
they reach the rider.
This hot new Bridgestone 175 has all
you’d expect in a 250, for a good deal
less money. Ask your Bridgestone dealer
about it. He has all the facts.
