    Description

    Beautiful hand colored antique print of Astronomia Comparativa, an allegorical Astronomy map (page 29) featuring a large sphere showing the positions of the sun, moon, Venus and Mercury. A hand colored scene in the center depicting Diana (lady of the moon), observing the earth through a telescope and a diagram in each corner of the map showing: Mercury, Venus, and phases of the moon. Mounted in a vintage black and gold painted wood frame (surface wear).
    Frame size is ~24" x 27"; plexiglass.
