On offer is this "cool" antique, ceramic, underglaze-transferred, multi-color
PRATTWARE
"pot lid" which dates to
about 1880
.
The title of this lid is

The thirsty soldier

who appears to have been given a drink from a well and is now the flirtatious attention of two young ladies, who appear to be whispering to each other. The lid measures almost 4 1/4" in diameter. Lid only. No base section with this listing.
Nice one to add to a collection...of these fascinating 19th century old pieces!
