Up for auction: a very rare and unique opportunity to get true glimpse of design, paints and style from the late 1800's. This original, antique paint swatch booklet is titled "Paints & Painting Longman & Martinez New York Paint Swatch Book." While the book has a company established date of 1852, the year '1893' is penciled in on one of the pages. The booklet allowed for notations to be made so the space was apparently used by a contractor/painter or craftsman. Amazing detailed lists of furniture being custom made for the client along with a price list. All hand written notes!!! The booklet also shows the popular home styles of the day (late 1800's) along with a guide on what paint colors will compliment each other. Truly a unique antiquity that you won't find just anywhere!!
This paint swatch book is in amazing, pre-owned, vintage condition. I've included some pictures that are just a sample of what this book has in store for it's next owner.
Book measures approximately: 6 3/4 inches tall and 4 inches wide/across and has 24 pages (this includes both the front and back covers).
