, signed on the side MATHIAS.  Designed with a candle cup atop the delicate blown body, it stands approximately 11 3/4" tall not counting the round candle (included, shown in tissue).  This hard-to-find line of fine glass candlesticks is hand blown by Bohemian craftsmen, similar to Bimini glass.  This design is

About the artist:
French designer Mathias Paris designed glass pieces for Tiffany & Co. and Baccarat including their Milles Nuit line which encompasses champagne flutes to chandeliers.  He designs in many mediums besides glass, including furniture, clothing and fragrances.  He is no longer designing this glass in his own brand, so these will only become more sought after with passing time.
