This is an early 'Watkins' bottle, as seen by the cork top.  It is nicely embossed in huge BOLD letters "
W-A-T-K-I-N-S
", and the embossing is in a sunken panel.   We had the same bottle in our collection that had a rough label on it, the same label that was on this bottle but very ragged.  Out with the old and in with the new, we soaked the worn out label off and put a copies of the perfect labels on it, as you see.  The bottle was never thrown out or discarded so
it is in super clean shiny condition
, and it still retains the original fiber string around the top of the neck that held a paper cover down over the cork when purchased new
