The Cressi Cherokee Ocean Spear Gun also called the Black Hunter Gun" has an anticorodal hydro-formed frame (aircraft grade aluminum alloy 6082) that is improved with an integrated spear guide. The particular shape of the 28mm (1.1") frame provides excellent hydrodynamics and considerable resistance to bending. Anticorodal handle, in the same black color as the frame, has soft interchangeable high-low sternal support. The guns release box is made entirely of stainless steel with lateral guide line release having automatic return and buckling tooth stroke damper and a tilting lateral safety catch. Gun is equipped with a reinforced reel buckle with steel through pin. The gun head is designed for double bands with a magnetic spear lock that as soon as the spear is put in place, it is held by two neodymium magnets mounted in a watertight chamber. This characteristic guarantees the maximum speed of reset without the disadvantages of conventional mechanical restraint systems. The guns quick loading open muzzle along with the magnetic spear lock combined for rapid reload when on the hunt. The Cherokee Ocean Spear Gun comes equipped with a shock absorber to help with recoil and when spearing big game. The double circular 16mm (5/8") bands are equipped with pure dyneema high strength lined wishbones with a tensile strength of 200 kg (440 lbs.) and a 7mm (0.28") spring stainless steel shaft, heat treated to increase hardness and prevent bending with 3 shark fin tabs for band wishbones. The shaft comes equipped with a widely preferred Tahitian style tip with flopper shaft barb. Gun is available in multiple lengths from 90 cm to 120 cm (35.4" to 47.25").
