    Description
    I just purchased this SET of (6) Opalescent studio glass tumblers from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The double old fashioneds / rocks glasses have a striking Modernist design with curvilinear lines to the rolled walls. The clear glass features vertical white opaque opalescent bands and a shaded band at the top rim (Fenton would call this "French Opalescent"). The tumblers measure 4" high and 4" across the top rim. Because of the hand blown character the glasses are finished on the base in different / similar ways (some simply a recessed cut pontil, some with ground foot ring and some with polished pontil mark). ALL SIX are in excellent condition with no damage. There is variability in the glasses, again due to the hand blown character, and a production scratch / rough line on the outside of one. This fun rocks set would make a great addition to your collection of Opalescent art glass or Mid Century inspired studio glass.
