  • Condition: This is a pair of rare, dried African Bushel Basket gourds, grown in the 80's by my father on his farm in north central Florida. The shapes on these are nice and round, not misshapen at all. Bottoms are also very flat. He dried these and they were stored in his barn until I found them after his death. The original stems are intact. There is mottling, which is more noticeable on the larger one. There is some powdery white residue on them, not sure what it is. You can see it in the close up photos. The gourds are full of seeds, I can hear them rattle around. Lots of people are selling seeds to grow these, but rarely do I see the actual gourds for sale, especially as large as these. MEASUREMENTS: Larger gourd is 60" in circumference and 16" high on the higher side. The smaller one is 54" in circumference and 13" high. Local pickup only. Delivery might be arranged for a fee.
