    This unusual
    baluster shaped
    wine goblet
    was off-hand blown by master glassmaker Harry Moore with the horse and rider flame
    -
    worked by lampworking specialist William Swingewood Sr.

    At the time
    THOMAS GOODE and SONS
    were
    the
    top royal tableware provider
    with many royal warrant's
    .
    Master
    lampworker
    WILLIAM (BILL) SWINGEWOOD,
    made the lampwork
    ed
    figures inside the
    glass
    bubble with great expertise,
    using
    a technique called
    lampworking
    . Using this
    technique SWINGEWOOD
    would work
    through a small hole in the top of the glass bubble,
    us
    ing
    long thin rods of colored glass and a gas blow torch to craft his amazing detailed animals and figures inside of
    glass
    bubbles
    .
    SWINGEWOOD was an out

    worker for
    STEVENS and WILLIAMS
    and was the most highly skilled
    lampworker
    of his era
    .
