  • Condition: Item is vintage (35 years old) and in good condition. There are age and usage wear evident in the form of small scratches and limited paint loss & cracks. There is a small crack in the wood (photo# 9) on the right breast, seems to be part of original wood specimen fault. The base has positioning (scuff) marks present.

    Description

    Item under consideration is a Vintage (35 years old), hand carved and painted, 18 inch Tall, WOODEN SITTING BROWN PELICAN STATUE, produced in 1985 by renown wildlife artist Jim Rittman Jr. located in the USA.
    The bird is an original, hand carved from basswood and painted with acrylic colors and containing realistic glass eyes.
    Statue's cravings and painting are expertly created and finely detailed, closely reflecting the form and coloration of the actual physical bird.
    Statue is well suited as Nautical decor for coastal cottages, patios, pools, yards, lanais, tiki bars, decks, and boat houses.
    The statue is 35 years old and there are commensurate age and usage wear indicators (see photo# 8) which do not appreciably detract from the beauty of the statue, but, can easily be corrected, if desired.
