Condition
:   Bottle is in very good condition.  It does have a few patches of stain and some traces of wear, but that's about it.  NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.  The bottle does not have a cap, it has a cork inserted down into the top.  PLEASE see picture for overall appearance

This style of Owl Drug bottle is not normally seen, ESPECIALLY in this smaller size.  We've seen this bottle in a larger size that still had a gold-foil label that read "
PERFUMED BANDOLINE
".
Bandoline was a popular HAIR DRESSING / HAIR TONIC back in the 19-teenth century.   This make sense as this bottle was made with the unusually wide mouth, possibly so that a comb would fit into the neck of the bottle to be dipped into the hair dressing!
This is one of just a few wide mouthed bottles that the Owl Drug Co. put out.  It is
a fancy square bottle that tapers down from the middle, as it goes both up and down.  On both sides there is an 'arch' type of design molded into the glass, and on all four sides there is an embossed gable design above the shoulder
.  A VERY UNIQUELY designed bottle.  And to save the best for last is the very unique looking tiny Owl
that is embossed on this one.
The details on this little owl are amazing!  It is only about an inch tall, but you can see very feather on it.  Its little eyes and ear tufts are delicately embossed, even its individual claws are visible as it clutches the mortar and pestle.  The creation of this little owl is truly a work of art
