    Description

TOM MICHAEL - Odyssey Art Glass - Art Nouveau Style - Signed Paperweight Vase
We are pleased to offer from our personal collection, this handsomely blown and decorated studio art glass vase by Tom Michael of Odyssey Art Glass. The hand blown art glass vase has a number white "wildflowers" with yellow-orange centers in and amongst trailing vines with a scattering of blue millefiori like canes. A unique, one of a kind piece that was created by this skilled craftsman. Our photographs were taken with only morning sunlight coming in from our kitchen window to create an interesting effect. Overall, the body of the vase is translucent, allowing the floral and vine decorations on the opposite sides to melded with those facing the front for a interesting effect. The free-form shape of the vase lends to its handsome art nouveau appearance. The bottom has a polished pontil and also polished base. It retains its original circular paper label that reads: "
Tom Michael / Odyssey Art Glass / U.S.A.
" It is also inscribed by hand "
    Odyssey - USA - Tom Michael - 1182
". We acquired this vase and several others directly from the artist over 10 years ago.
